Open Access Policy

Prithvi Journal of Academic Research & Development (PJARD) is committed to the principle of open access to scholarly research. Open Access (OA) is a publication model that enables the unrestricted online dissemination of academic content to the global community. Under this model, all published articles are made freely and permanently available on the internet for anyone, anywhere, to read, download, copy, distribute, print, or use for lawful academic and educational purposes without financial, legal, or technical barriers—provided proper citation of the original work is maintained.

PJARD strongly supports the Open Access Initiative to promote transparency, knowledge exchange, and equitable access to research outcomes. All articles published in PJARD are accessible immediately upon publication, without subscription or registration requirements.

Key Features of PJARD’s Open Access Policy

  1. 1. Free and Immediate Access
    1. o Abstracts and full-texts (PDF/HTML) of all published articles are available online to the public immediately after publication, ensuring maximum visibility and global reach.
  2. 2. Author Retained Copyright
    1. o Authors retain the copyright to their work while granting PJARD the right of first publication.
    2. o Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are properly cited.
  3. 3. No Subscription or Paywall
    1. o PJARD does not charge readers or institutions for access. All published papers are freely available on the journal’s website.
  4. 4. Article Processing Charge (APC)
    1. o To cover editorial handling, peer review, hosting, and archiving costs, PJARD may levy a nominal Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance. The APC ensures that publication remains sustainable while preserving open access for readers.
    2. o Waivers or discounts may be provided for authors from developing regions or unfunded research projects.
